Copywriting for remote work & digital nomad brands

Copywriting for the brands powering the remote-work lifestyle.

I'm a travel copywriter, journalist and marketing strategist who has spent years living the digital nomad lifestyle - while building a six-figure business from a laptop, in whichever country I happened to be in that month.

Let's talk about your content

Why me

Hi, I'm Georgie Darling.

I don't just write for digital nomads. I am one.

Most copywriters research this audience for an afternoon before they start writing about it. I've lived it - across Bali, Mexico and now Lisbon, building The Freedom Route the entire way, from wherever my laptop happened to be open that week.

That means I don't just know the demographics. I know:

  • ➝ what ‘freedom’ really means to this audience (and what it doesn't)
  • ➝ how they make decisions about tools, destinations and lifestyle changes
  • ➝ the practical realities of working while travelling - time zones, wifi anxiety, visa admin and all
  • ➝ the frustrations that come with a location-independent life, because I've had most of them myself

I've also built my own personal brand to a newsletter of 6,500+ subscribers and close to 60,000 people across LinkedIn, a private Facebook community and email - entirely organically. So this isn't a copywriter guessing at what this audience wants to read. It's someone who builds and grows an audience like theirs for a living, then does the same job for you.

What I do

Copy and content that helps remote-first brands become the name people remember.

Today's global workforce is more mobile than ever. Millions of people are working remotely, launching businesses from laptops and living as digital nomads - and the travel, lifestyle and hospitality brands that serve them need copy that stands out.

I work with remote-first brands to create strategy-led copywriting and SEO content that builds trust, sharpens your positioning and sets you apart from the masses. Whether it's website copy, long-form digital nomad guides, email funnels or thought leadership, I help my clients become recognised market leaders in the remote-work and travel space.

The strategic differentiator

I bring a marketer's brain to writing for self-employed, remote-first people.

Alongside copywriting, I run The Freedom Route - a consultancy business helping self-employed women build the marketing and AI side of what they do. Most of them are digital nomads, solopreneurs or running a business from a laptop in Lisbon, Bali and everywhere in between.

That portfolio-career path is exactly why I love working with brands that want more than just words. Travelling while growing my business has opened up opportunities I never planned for: I started out as a writer, but these days I also consult for freelancers, vibe-code digital products, run retreats for self-employed remote-first women, host an ongoing membership and create group coaching courses. I do all of my own marketing, so I understand the full picture - from strategy to implementation.

That means I can help you with the big-picture thinking - positioning, content strategy, email automations and AI workflows - as well as the hands-on execution: blog posts, email sequences, launch copy and website messaging. I love partnering with companies where I can bring both sides to the table.

Marketing strategy • Positioning • Funnels • Lead generation • Newsletters • Launches • Content strategy • AI implementation
